The fourth generation of Celicas released in 1985 with a completely new design approach. Aside from its new rounded body, it was the first time a Celica was built with a front-wheel drive layout. This generation also came with the iconic GT-Four edition, a high-performance variant specifically designed to compete in the World Rally Championship.
