Despite being known for having an illegal turbo restrictor scandal in the 1995 World Rally Championship, the ST205 was the fastest and most powerful Celica ever built. Retaining the successful 2.0L 3S-GTE engine of its predecessor, the final GT-Four was built from 1994 to 1999 with several improvements such as reduced weight, improved brakes and suspension, and most notably an all new twin turbocharger.
