This 75-Series Land Cruiser was uniquely converted into a small fire truck to serve Japan’s rural areas and small towns. It belonged to the long-wheelbase variants of the series that consist of workhorse-type vehicles such as pick-ups, cab-chassis, and troop carriers. Not only did its smaller size allow it to do first-response maneuvers in areas where full-sized fire trucks could not, it also had the necessary equipment to finish small firefighting jobs such as a water intake valve and automatic high pressure fire pump.
